Do you experience slow hair growth or hair fall out? Lot of us do, right? But there are many unusual & widely used hair growth hacks and practices from around the world which might just do the trick to get your locks back to where you want them.
1. Inversion Method/ Upside Down
The inversion method involves two primary steps:
1. Massaging your scalp with warm oil.
2. Turning your head upside down for up to 4 to 5minutes.
If you turn your head upside down, there is an immense increase of blood flow to the scalp which in turn helps promote hair growth. Slightly warm olive oil or coconut oil and gently massage it onto your scalp. Scalp massage stimulates the growth of hair. After scalp massage, turn your head upside down and maintain this position for only 4 to 5 minutes. After 4 mins are up, slowly bring your head to the normal position and don’t start walking suddenly because your head is probably trying to readjust the position. You can do this every day for a week.
NOTE: If this method makes you dizzy or abnormal throughout the day please do not continue with it. You cannot carry out this method if you have any of the following:
Vertigo, Low / high blood pressure, ear infection, detached retina, spinal injury, heart problems, glaucoma, conjunctivitis or “pink eye”, obesity, a hernia, pregnancy or any other serious health problems.
2. Don’t Wrap your Hair in a Towel
If you wrap your hair in a towel after shower, then you are making a big mistake. After showering your hair is wet, weak and it is more vulnerable. The weight of towel can easily pull off & break your hair from the roots. Just squeeze out excess water & let your hair air dry. You can use old soft cotton T-Shirt instead of a towel to remove excess water from your hair.
3. Rubbing Fingernails/ Balayam Yoga
Rubbing the fingernails together while keeping your thumb upright is known as Balayam yoga. Rubbing fingernails for 5 minutes daily can make your hair grow again. Sound’s Silly? But it’s NOT. The nerve ending under the fingernails are directly connected to the hair follicles present in the scalp. By rubbing your fingernails, you can stimulate the blood circulation in your scalp which helps promotes hair growth. You should rub all your finger nails except your thumb. Rubbing fingernails helps in preventing excessive hair loss. Balayam yoga works for both men and women.
4. Avoid Tight Hairstyles
Hair loss can be caused by tight hairstyles. The hair strand is pulled by tight ponytails, braids, tight hairstyles, hair extensions or hair accessories that cause stress on the hair follicle. Hair follicles root individual strands of hair in place on the scalp & if they become irritated due to lack of blood flow, hair falls out. It can restrict blood circulation to the scalp that can cause permanent hair loss.
5. Avoid Hot Hair Styling Tools
Give your hair a break when it comes to hot styling tools, chemical relaxers or any other tools or service that causes a lot of damage to your hair. Don’t expose yourself too much to hair styling products that are rich in chemicals and hot styling tools. Instead, go for natural remedies or other alternatives which are safe and inexpensive.
